With the 2019-2020 school year coming to an end, the Christa McAuliffe School PTO would like to thank the amazing staff and teachers who were able to switch over from in-person teaching to remote-teaching within days! The last few months of this school year was definitely unexpected. The staff, teachers, and students went at head on. Was it perfect, no. But, everyone kept at it, and in true Comet fashion, continued to “Fail Forward!”
Out of respect for the families during these unprecedented times, the PTO chose to forego fundraising for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Fortunately, the PTO was able to continue to offer funds to the classes for virtual field trips and end-of-year gifts. We have no idea what Fall 2020 will bring for us. Will we be able to host our annual events and fundraisers? We don’t know. With that said, please consider making a donation to the PTO. Donations can be made online. Funds are necessary to help offset the cost of field trips, classroom supplies, enrichment activities and many community event. The CMS PTO is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; all donations are tax deductible.
We wish the entire CMS community a healthy and happy summer vacation and hope everyone stays Caring, Motivated, and Safe! We look forward to seeing everyone (hopefully in person) at the end of the summer for the start of the 2020-2021 school year!
