Walktober 2018 is here!
What is Walktober?
Walktober is a time for CMS families and classrooms to participate in physical activity while raising money to support school activities and field trips, school community events, enrichment programs and numerous other student needs. Each CMS student requires approximately $90 in extra expenses to fund these meaningful learning experiences, and the CMS PTO works hard to raise this money during our various events throughout the year. We hope you will help us make Walktober a huge success!

You can also support Walktober by:
- Encouraging your child/ren to be active for a minimum of 20 minutes per day for the entire month of October! The calendar your child brought home provides a visual reminder to get outside and be active, as well as a way to mark your progress! Information packet sent home to students: walktober 2018
- Volunteer at the School-wide walk. Each classroom will head out to walk around downtown Concord and experience some fun, fresh air and physical activity together as a community on Friday, October 19 (rain date: October 22). We invite you to join students along the walk route to cheer them on or volunteer as a crossing guard (sign up to volunteer here). Individual class departures will be announced by your child’s classroom teacher prior to the event. If you have questions, please contact Caitlin Smith (email@example.com) or Melissa West (firstname.lastname@example.org).
