Volunteer Opportunities
Are you the parent/guardian of a CMS student? Yes? Congratulations! You’re already considered part of the CMS PTO. We’d like you to know that volunteerism is absolutely vital to not only our school, but our PTO as well. We get it, there’s a ton that goes into volunteerism besides just the time. Some of us take days off of work, some have to find childcare accommodations, and some of us stay up late or wake up early to ensure everything gets done.
With that being said, we appreciate every single moment our PTO contributes to our school from field trip chaperones to popcorn poppers, to those who pick up a bag of chips at the store. It all helps and it’s all appreciated!
Ready to get started? If you would like to volunteer in your student’s classroom, at any PTO events, or on field trips, you will need to:
-Complete the Concord School District Volunteer Application (linked below).
-Bring your completed application to CSD Central Office at 38 Liberty Street, Concord, NH to complete your volunteer paperwork. Please bring your completed volunteer application and driver’s license to your appointment.
Upon receipt of all documents, SAU8 will contact CMS to let them know you are eligible to volunteer. All of these steps are REQUIRED and must be completed before you will be permitted to volunteer.

Popcorn Day is a weekly, beloved CMS (and Kimball School before it) tradition! We need 2 volunteers to donate their time each week to pop, bag, and distribute popcorn to CMS students/staff. This time commitment takes about 2-3 hours beginning at 7:30am.

Every fundraiser and PTO event needs a person to run the show! This includes planning, gathering materials, and coordinating with CMS Staff. It may sound intimidating, but always includes guidance and support from the CMS PTO Board!
We’re in need of Fundraising/Event Chair for the following:
-Family Game/Bingo Night
-CMS Block Party
-Wreath Sales
-Flower Sales
-
Our PTO has a handful of on-site volunteer opportunities! This could be anything from handing out ice cream, to filling wreath/flower orders, to standing at a cross-walk during Walk-tober. NONE of these fundraiser or events are possible without volunteer support!
